TidyTabs is a nifty piece of software that allows you to free up your desktop or organize your applications into a single tabbed group for easier and quicker access.

Following a quick and uneventful setup, you can access the application by hovering your mouse over the top left corner of any active window. The idea behind the tool is to integrate seamlessly with Windows as if it were a core feature. Moreover, thanks to the app, now you can extend the styles of your favorite tools to your other applications.

While the utility does not come with an interface per se, you can access its Settings window from the System Tray. Consequentially, you can alter the visibility of active and inactive windows as well as that of the mouse hoover. You can configure the app to display a tooltip when the name is too long, hide tabs that are in fullscreen or single tabs, just to name a few options.

Functionality-wise, the program is as simple as it looks. You can organize your desktop or free up space via the drag and drop function. To put it simply, you create logical groups of apps that you are likely to use during your work session, for instance.

You will be happy to learn that the program is designed to identify the applications that do not need tabs. Then again, in case you feel this is not enough, then you can specify the apps that should be included or excluded under the tabbed group umbrella via the Whitelists and Blacklists section.

Regardless of whether you are looking for a tool to boost your productivity or you just need to maintain your desktop uncluttered, TidyTabs can lend you a hand.
