Right from the start, the design of UnZip felt simple and compact, and I appreciated the fact that it laid down the compression options in a simple and intuitive way. Adding files to the compression processing queue is easy; you can either use the built-in directory navigation or easily drag-and-drop files directly onto its interface.
However, one of the first weaknesses of the application became apparent quickly, as I found out that it cannot handle multiple files simultaneously. This lack of batch processing is not ideal, especially when you need efficient file processing.
Offers a bit of additional functionality in the form of password protection for your archives, but nothing else
When it comes to extra features, UnZip, in addition to offering support for a quite broad range of archive formats, also carries inherent options for protecting your compressed data, by adding passwords in the process.
There are no options for automatically generating passwords, but despite that, this addition can provide an additional layer of security for your data.

This application offers a decent alternative to Windows’ built-in compression features, but not sufficiently equipped for more demanding tasks, lacking multiple features that you might find on other, more reputable archivers.
